Awakening Bangkok 2023 presents the theme of "Time Passage", highlighting the significance of the old city's roads - Sanam Chai, Bamrung Mueang, and Phuang Nakhon - which have carried lifestyles from the past to the present. Through 29 contemporary art pieces, including light installations and digital art, showcased at 13 key locations across the Phra Nakhon and Pak Klong districts, the exhibition explores the passage of time.
The Tree of Breath "The path of the future is uncertain, but the present is a tangible reality, and it exists with us in each breath. The glassblowing technique used to create each tree involves the inhales and exhales of the artist, symbolizing life through color and light. This invites viewers to recognize that these trees hold the breath of our past and present, reminding us of the importance of the present moment and the lessons learned from the past."
